Our master marketo email templates have built-in compatibility with Google Fonts. These should be using our company’s branded font, but if you need to change it’s very easy using the global variables in the email you’re editing.

Step 1: Find the font you want to use at fonts.google.com.
Step 2: Click the “Get font” button a the top right. Then click the “Get embed code” button on the next page.
Step 3: Select “@import” method for embed code.
Step 4: Select only the import line, not the <style> brackets. And this is what you’ll paste into the master template global variable for “font import.”

Step 5: Now select and copy only the quoted font and the fallback font in the font family and paste this into the font family global variable. Make sure you change the ” ” double quotes to single quotes ‘ ‘ in the email’s global variable as seen in the first screenshot above.

Done! You now have a new Google font in your email!
